About Travelzoo

Travelzoo is a listed deal publisher rather than a travel agent, and a Travelzoo discount code needs that distinction up front: the company publishes offers from airlines, hotels and tour operators, and your booking contract is with whichever of them you buy from. It does not hold your money or your booking, and says so in its own terms.

What you are actually joining

The business has shifted toward paid membership. A membership costs an annual fee, renews automatically each year, and is cancelled in the account settings. There is a short window after purchase to ask for a refund on the fee itself. Note the renewal date, because an annual auto-renewal is the commonest source of complaints about any subscription.

Membership benefits are publishing benefits

What the fee buys is early access to the flagship weekly offer list, a set of airport lounge passes triggered when a flight is delayed beyond an hour, a support hotline, and member services. It does not buy a discount on travel, and it is not a discount code. Whether it is worth the money depends entirely on how often you fly and how often you would use a lounge.

A published deal is somebody else's offer

Every deal carries the supplier's own terms, and Travelzoo's terms state that prices and availability can change at any time before purchase and that pricing errors may be corrected. A starting figure describes the cheapest date, the cheapest room grade and the lowest occupancy, and may not be there when you click through. If the trip goes wrong, the airline or hotel is who you deal with.

Local vouchers are a different product

Alongside the travel offers there is a separate local deals voucher business, sold under its own terms of sale with its own expiry dates and redemption rules. A voucher bought there behaves like a voucher rather than like a booking, so read the expiry and what happens if the venue closes or changes hands.

Using a Travelzoo discount code

There is a question worth asking before hunting for a code: what would it apply to? A code here attaches to a membership fee or a voucher purchase rather than to the travel itself, since the travel is sold by somebody else. Check the annual renewal price rather than the introductory one.
