Trip.com North America promo codes and discount codes are listed above. This is the North American store. Below: what the platform books, how travel codes behave, and what a Trip.com promo code covers.
About Trip.com
Trip.com is a global online travel agency booking flights, hotels, trains, car hire and attractions, with regional sites serving different markets in different currencies.
The North American site is a separate storefront from the UK and European ones. Prices, availability and promotions differ, and a code issued for one region is normally rejected on another, which is the first thing to check when a code fails.
What they book
Flights on most airlines including multi-city itineraries, hotels worldwide, rail in the markets where it is offered, airport transfers, car hire and attraction tickets.
Booking through an agency rather than direct is a trade: the price is often lower and the ticket conditions are set by the airline or hotel, with the agency in the middle when something goes wrong.
Booking travel through an agency
Read the fare conditions before the price. Basic economy fares with no bag, no seat selection and no changes look cheapest and frequently are not once a case is added, and those restrictions come from the airline rather than from the agency.
Understand who to contact if a flight is cancelled. When a booking is made through an agency, the airline will often refer you back to the agency for a refund or a rebooking, which adds a step at the worst possible moment. That is the real cost of a cheaper fare.
Check the name spelling against the passport before confirming. Airline name corrections range from awkward to impossible, and they are the commonest expensive mistake in online booking.
Using a Trip.com promo code
Select the booking, apply the code before payment and check the total. These appear as Trip.com promo codes, discount codes and coupon codes.
Travel codes are usually capped at a maximum value and limited to one product type — hotels but not flights, for instance — or to a minimum spend. Taxes and airline fees are not discountable, so a percentage applies to a smaller base than the headline total suggests.
