Happy Beaks sells wild bird food in the sizes people who actually feed birds buy it, which means sacks rather than the small bags a supermarket stocks.
What is on offer
Seed mixes lead the range, sorted by which birds they attract and by how much mess they leave, with no-husk and no-waste blends for anyone feeding over a patio or a lawn. Straights are the single ingredients bought loose: sunflower hearts, black sunflower, peanuts, nyjer, mealworms and suet pellets. Beyond the food come suet balls, cakes and logs, feeders for every seed type, and the accessories that keep them working, from poles and baffles to cleaning brushes. Bundles pair a feeder with the food that suits it, and the price per kilo falls sharply with sack size.
Feeding birds without harming them
Worth saying plainly, because a bird table done badly does damage. Feeders need cleaning regularly with hot soapy water, since dirty feeders spread trichomonosis and finch diseases far more efficiently than they spread food. Never put out whole peanuts in spring and summer, when chicks can choke on them: use a mesh feeder so adults take fragments. Cheap mixes bulked with wheat and split peas are mostly rejected and end up on the ground attracting rats, which is the honest argument for a better mix rather than a cheaper one. Keep water out too, since drinking and bathing matter as much as food in a dry summer.
Applying a discount code
Load the sacks into the basket, then use its discount field ahead of the payment page and wait for the total to redraw. Feed bundles are already priced below the same items separately and a code will rarely improve on one. Sack pricing works the same way: the per-kilo cost falls on its own as the size rises. One code per order, and free delivery arrives automatically once an order passes a set value or weight.
Storage and timing
Buying a large sack only saves money if the seed stays good. Keep it dry, cool and in a sealed bin rather than the original bag, since damp seed goes mouldy and mice find paper easily. Demand and price both rise in hard weather, so stocking up in late summer is cheaper than buying in a January cold snap, which is exactly when the birds need it most.
