About Lights 4 Living

Lights4Living is a British lighting retailer selling ceiling, wall, table and outdoor fittings from a range of manufacturers, online rather than through showrooms.
Lighting is bought by specification more than by looks, and the product pages carry the numbers that decide whether a fitting will work: lamp type, wattage, IP rating and drop length.

What they sell

Pendants and chandeliers, flush and semi-flush ceiling fittings, spotlights and track, wall lights, table and floor lamps, bathroom and outdoor lighting, plus bulbs, shades and dimmers.
Fittings are sold across price tiers that reflect materials and finish quality rather than light output, since the output comes from the lamp rather than from the fitting.

Specifying lighting properly

Check the bulb fitting and the maximum wattage before anything else. A fitting takes a particular cap type, and an enclosed shade has a limit that exists for heat reasons rather than as a suggestion.
Bathrooms have rules. Zones around a bath or shower require a stated IP rating, and a fitting without one must not go there. The rating is given on the listing and it is not negotiable.
Colour temperature decides how a room feels. Warm white suits living rooms and bedrooms; cooler temperatures suit kitchens and workspaces and look clinical anywhere else. Mixing temperatures within one room is the most common lighting mistake in a house, and it is free to avoid.
Anything hard-wired should be installed by a qualified electrician, and in the UK certain work is notifiable under the building regulations.

Using a Lights4Living discount code

Choose the fittings and the lamps together, apply the code at the checkout and check the total before ordering. These appear as Lights4Living discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.
Small extra percentages on a named manufacturer are common here rather than deep sitewide cuts, since a stockist is limited by the brands it carries. Free delivery thresholds are calculated on goods value before a code is applied.
