Megalook sells human-hair wigs, mostly in the wide thirteen-by-six lace size, with highlighted and blonde colours alongside natural black — and a discount code is worth having, because colour-treated hair sits at the top of the price list.

Lace size, and what the numbers mean

The two figures describe the lace panel at the front in inches: a thirteen-by-four is thirteen inches across and four inches back from the hairline; a thirteen-by-six goes six inches back. That depth buys a deep parting anywhere across the front and the ability to pull the hair off the face, which shallower lace cannot do convincingly. It also costs more, so buy the deeper lace only if you actually want to part far back or wear the hair up — for a fixed side parting the smaller panel is enough.

Lace type and the knots

Two more terms decide how invisible the front looks. HD lace is thinner and finer than transparent lace, so it melts into a wider range of skin tones; it is also more fragile and tears if handled roughly, which is the trade for the better result. Knots are where each hair is tied to the lace; unbleached they read as dark dots. Bleaching solves that but weakens the hair at the knot, so a pre-bleached wig wants gentle handling at the parting and no hard brushing from the roots.

Buying highlighted and blonde hair

Colour is where money and durability meet. Highlighted, honey blonde and balayage wigs have already been lifted with bleach, which permanently changes the hair's structure: it is drier, more porous and more fragile than the same hair in natural black, and it will not tolerate the same heat. Treat a coloured wig as high-maintenance from day one — sulphate-free shampoo, regular deep conditioning, heat protectant every time, lowest workable temperature. If you plan to lighten a black wig yourself, expect to shorten its life; buying it pre-coloured by people with the right products usually ends better.

Ordering to Britain, and using your code

Megalook ships internationally, so a UK order can attract import VAT and duty billed by customs when the parcel lands, separately from the checkout price — count both before judging a saving. Prices display in whatever currency the site detects, which is not always sterling, so check the currency selector before comparing. Returns are normally void once lace has been cut or the wig has been worn, so try it on before altering anything. Enter the code at checkout and read the revised figure before paying; bundle and buy-one-get-one offers rarely combine with a further code.
