VIVOSUN makes indoor growing equipment — tents, LED lights, fans and filters, climate controllers — sold as individual parts or as matched kits for a whole setup.
The four things an indoor setup needs
A tent gives you a sealed, reflective box with the right openings. A light supplies the energy the plants actually use. An inline fan with a carbon filter pulls warm, humid, smelly air out and draws fresh air in. A controller ties the fan, light and timings to what the temperature and humidity sensors are reading. VIVOSUN sells all four separately and also bundles them into tent kits, and the kits are worth considering for a first build simply because the components are already matched to each other.
Sizing the tent and the light together
Pick the tent from the footprint you can physically give up, including room to open the door and reach the back, and then pick the light for that footprint rather than for the biggest number available. An undersized light gives you tall, stretched plants; an oversized one bleaches leaves and drives the temperature up until the fan cannot keep ahead. Height matters as much as floor area, because lights need clearance above the canopy and ducting needs somewhere to go.
Ventilation is the part people under-buy
Most disappointing setups fail on airflow rather than on light. The fan needs to exchange the tent's volume several times an hour, and a carbon filter, bends in the ducting and a long run all reduce what it actually moves, so size up rather than exactly. Run the fan continuously, not on the light timer. Carbon filters have a service life and stop working long before they look used, and a filter fitted the wrong way round does very little.
Heat, electricity and where the kit lives
An enclosed grow space is a heater that also uses water, and both facts have consequences in a small room. Check what the setup draws in total before plugging several things into one socket, keep water away from ballasts and connections, and use a residual current device. Condensation on cold walls in winter turns into mould if the room itself is not ventilated. Smart controllers help, but they manage the environment rather than fix a space that is too small or too cold for what you are trying to grow.
