About Arran - Sense of Scotland

Arran discount codes and voucher codes are listed above. Underneath is where these products are made, what the ranges smell of, and what an Arran discount code covers.

About Arran

Arran, trading as Arran Sense of Scotland, makes bath, body and home fragrance on the Isle of Arran itself, where the company has manufactured since the late eighties. Production is on the island rather than contracted out, which is unusual for a brand of this size.

The scents draw on the place: coastal, herbal, woody and floral notes that read as Scottish rather than generically luxurious. That is the whole appeal, and it is why so much of the output is bought as a gift by people who have visited.

What they make

Soaps, hand washes and lotions, shower gels and bath products, body creams and balms. Home fragrance runs alongside in candles, reed diffusers and room sprays.

The ranges are organised by scent family rather than by product type, so a fragrance you like will usually exist as a candle, a hand wash and a body cream, which is what makes the gift sets work.

Buying it as a present

This is a gifting brand more than a daily-toiletries one, and the site is built accordingly, with gift sets at several price points and gift wrapping available above a spend threshold.

Two practical notes. Scent is personal and unreturnable once opened, so a set spanning two or three fragrances is a safer present than a large bottle of one. And free UK delivery starts above an order value, which on a single soap is worth checking before you pay postage that exceeds the item.

Using an Arran discount code

Choose the products, apply the code at the checkout and confirm the new total before paying. These are listed as Arran discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Sitewide percentages do appear here, which is less common among makers of this kind, and they are the offers worth waiting for. Gift sets are sometimes excluded on the basis that the set price is already the saving, and the free delivery and gift wrap thresholds are calculated after a discount is applied, so a code can push an order back under them.
