About Babeside

Babeside makes reborn dolls: highly realistic baby dolls, hand-finished with painted skin tones, rooted or moulded hair and weighted bodies that give them the heft of a real infant.
Reborn dolls are a collector's category with its own following. They are bought as art objects, as photography props, by collectors who dress and display them, and by people who simply find them comforting to hold.

What they make

Newborn-sized and toddler-sized dolls in vinyl and soft-touch materials, in a range of skin tones and hair colours, boys and girls, sold dressed and sometimes with accessories such as bottles, dummies and blankets.
Sizes are quoted in inches and weights in pounds or grams. Both matter more than the photographs do, because a doll that is bigger and heavier than expected is the commonest surprise on opening the box.

What to know before buying one

These are collectors' items rather than toys for small children. They are not built to survive rough handling, and weighted limbs, small accessories and delicate paintwork make them unsuitable for a toddler however they look. If the doll is a present for a child, check the age guidance on the specific listing.
Photographs in this category are professionally styled and lit. A well-made reborn is genuinely convincing in the hand, but expect the finish to read a little differently in daylight in your own house.
Care is simple and worth doing. Keep them out of direct sunlight, which fades painted skin tones permanently, wash the clothes rather than the doll, and never put a weighted body in water or a machine.
Some people buy dolls of this kind as comfort objects, including for an older relative. That is a personal decision to make with the people involved, and it is not something this page can advise on.

Using a Babeside discount code

Choose the doll, apply the code at the checkout and check the total before ordering. These appear as Babeside discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.
Check the delivery estimate and any import charges before ordering, since these ship internationally and arrive over weeks rather than days. Bundles that include clothing or accessories are priced as a set and usually cannot take a further percentage.
