About Coopers of Stortford

Coopers of Stortford is a British home and garden retailer that still trades substantially by catalogue as well as online, which tells you most of what you need to know about its customer.

The proposition is practical problem-solving rather than style. Products here exist because something around the house is awkward, and the catalogue copy explains what each item does rather than how it will make a room look.

What they sell

Kitchen and household gadgets, cleaning equipment, storage and organisation, heaters and fans, bedding and comfort items, and a substantial garden range covering tools, planters, covers and lawn care.

Mobility and easy-living products run through the catalogue as well: jar openers, long-handled tools, reaching aids and seating. That focus on making ordinary tasks easier is what distinguishes the range from a general homeware shop.

Who it suits

This is a retailer with an older customer base and it is designed for one, with large product images, plain descriptions and a telephone ordering option that still works properly.

Judge the products on function rather than on brand. Much of what is sold here is unbranded or own-label, and the sensible comparison is against what the item saves you in effort rather than against a designer equivalent. Read the dimensions carefully, since catalogue photography flatters size in both directions.

Using a Coopers of Stortford discount code

Add the items, put the code into the promotion field and confirm the total before you order. These are described as Coopers of Stortford discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Catalogue retailers run offers on a seasonal rhythm and lean heavily on free-delivery promotions rather than percentages, because delivery is a meaningful share of the cost on small household items. Where both exist, work out which is worth more on your basket. Clearance and end-of-line stock is normally excluded from any further reduction.
