About Demon Tweeks
Demon Tweeks has supplied British motorsport since 1971, and any Demon Tweeks discount code we hold is listed above. Much of this catalogue is regulated equipment, and that is the part worth reading.
About Demon Tweeks
A long-established British retailer of motorsport, performance car and motorcycle parts, based in Wrexham, supplying competitors and road users from the same catalogue.
That mixed audience is the thing to keep in mind. A part sold here may be designed for a race car, and race parts are not automatically appropriate or legal on a public road.
What they sell
Race and rally safety equipment, seats, harnesses and roll cages, performance engine and suspension components, brakes, wheels and tyres, car care, and motorcycle clothing and parts.
Safety equipment is the category where the specification is not a preference but a rule.
Homologation, and why it expires
Competition helmets, race suits, harnesses and seats carry a homologation standard and a valid-until date. Motorsport UK and the FIA publish which standards are accepted in which competition, and equipment that is out of date is rejected at scrutineering.
Check the date on the label before buying, not the date the standard was introduced. A harness sold today may have only a few seasons of validity left, and that is normal.
Buy against the regulations for the championship you actually enter, since club and national rules differ from international ones.
Road use, briefly
Modifications must be declared to your insurer. Not declaring them does not save money; it makes a claim refusable, which is the expensive outcome.
Some competition parts are marked for track or off-road use only, and that marking exists because the part will not meet road construction and use requirements. Lighting, tyres and exhausts are the usual areas where this bites at an MOT.
Helmets for road riding carry a different standard from race helmets, and the two are not interchangeable.
Using a Demon Tweeks discount code
Order everything for the build or the season in one go, then apply the code at checkout. Tyres, wheels and anything shipped on a pallet usually carry their own delivery terms and are often excluded.
