About LASOK, Inc

DODOSKIN is a Korean beauty retailer selling K-beauty skincare and make-up internationally, and it carries a long list of Korean labels rather than one house brand.

What is stocked

Skincare is the bulk of it and follows the way Korean routines are built: cleansing oils and balms for the first cleanse, foams for the second, toners and essences, ampoules and serums, sheet masks by the box, moisturisers and, running through all of it, sun protection. Make-up covers cushion compacts, tints and base products cut for the shade ranges Korean brands offer. Dozens of labels sit alongside one another, from the household names to the small ones that rarely reach Western shelves, which is the main reason to shop here rather than at a department store.

Getting a routine right rather than long

The famous ten-step routine sells a lot of bottles and is not a requirement. A cleanser, a moisturiser and a daily sunscreen do most of the work, and sun protection is the single product with the strongest evidence behind it for how skin ages. Add actives one at a time, leaving a fortnight between introductions, so that a reaction can be traced to a culprit. Patch test anything with retinol, acids or fragrance on the inside of the forearm first, and treat persistent acne, rosacea or eczema as a matter for a doctor rather than for a new serum.

Applying the discount code

With the basket assembled, put the code in the discount box there and confirm the total has updated before moving to payment. Codes on this shop are frequently written against a single label, so one issued for one brand will do nothing on another and has not necessarily expired. Some of the promotions combine a brand discount with a wider one, in which case they are applied together at the basket rather than by entering two codes. Only one code goes in per order.

Shipping, duties and shelf life

Parcels travel from abroad, and the site says plainly that customs duty may be charged on arrival, which belongs in the price comparison rather than as a surprise at the door. Check the expiry or period-after-opening on anything bought in bulk during a sale, since sheet masks and vitamin C products do not keep indefinitely, and a box of thirty bought cheaply is no bargain if half of them turn.
