Cylinders should be kept upright, away from heat, and never refilled by hand at home.

Carbonating something other than water needs a lighter touch than the instructions for a plain bottle. Sugary or pulpy liquids foam far more readily, so short bursts and a pause between them work better than one long one, and filling the bottle to the marked line rather than to the neck leaves the headroom the gas needs. Rinsing the infuser straight after a juice or a cocktail keeps sticky residue from drying in the valve.
