Embossed Graphics prints personalised stationery, and the name is the product: raised lettering pressed into good paper rather than flat ink laid on top of it.

What can be personalised

Correspondence cards and folded notes lead the range, with letter sheets, memo pads and the small tablets people buy as hostess gifts and stocking fillers behind them. Printed napkins and coasters cover entertaining, and there are labels, calling cards and gift enclosures. Everything is set with your own name, monogram or household line, chosen from a list of typefaces, ink colours and border motifs rather than uploaded as artwork.

Embossed, engraved or printed

The words are used loosely across the stationery trade and they mean different things. True engraving cuts the design into a plate and pushes ink up from the paper, leaving a bruise you can feel on the reverse. Thermography raises the ink with heat and gives a similar look at a lower price with no mark on the back. Flat printing does neither and costs least. All three are legitimate; what matters is knowing which you are buying, since the price gap between them is large and the difference is visible only close up.

Applying the discount code

Set the personalisation first, since a piece of stationery does not exist as a product until the name and typeface are chosen, then open the basket and put the code into the promotional field ahead of payment and confirm the total updates. One code per order. Quantity breaks apply on their own as the number of cards rises, and those usually beat a code on a large order, so it is worth comparing two boxes against one.

Proofing and lead times

Two things save regret. Read the on-screen proof letter by letter before approving it, including the spelling of a surname and any address, because personalised goods are made to what you approved and cannot be returned for a change of mind. And allow proper time: printing to order takes longer than picking a boxed set off a shelf, and wedding, christening and Christmas orders should be placed weeks rather than days ahead. Ordering a small quantity first is the cheap way to check a typeface in your own hand before committing to a large box.
