PETG is tougher and more heat-tolerant and is the sensible step up for functional parts. ABS and ASA are stronger again but need an enclosed, ventilated printer because of the fumes and the warping. TPU is flexible and prints slowly. All filament absorbs moisture, and damp filament prints badly — store spools sealed with desiccant and dry them if a print starts stringing.
