Phrozen makes resin 3D printers aimed at people who care about surface detail — miniatures, dental and jewellery models, prototypes — along with the resins and accessories that go with them, and a discount code helps with what is rarely a single-item purchase.

The printers and what they are for

The core range is masked stereolithography: a screen above a UV light source cures liquid resin layer by layer against a build plate. The practical consequence is resolution. Where a filament printer builds from a moving nozzle and leaves visible layer lines, a resin printer reproduces detail fine enough for tabletop miniatures, model kits and small functional prototypes. The line-up spans compact desktop machines through to larger-format models, differentiated mainly by screen resolution, build area and speed. The brand also sells its own resins in standard, tough, water-washable and speciality formulations, plus wash and cure stations.

What resin printing actually involves

Be clear about this before buying, because it is why many resin printers end up unused. Uncured resin is an irritant and a sensitiser: it needs nitrile gloves, eye protection and skin contact avoided, and repeated exposure can produce a sensitivity that does not go away. It smells, so it needs a ventilated space that is not a bedroom. Every print then needs washing in isopropyl alcohol or water depending on the resin, followed by UV curing, and the waste must be disposed of properly rather than poured down a drain. It is a workshop hobby with consumables and a routine, not a plug-in appliance.

Budgeting past the printer

The machine is the start. Add resin by the kilogram, isopropyl alcohol, gloves, a wash and cure station or a home-made equivalent, spare FEP film for the vat, and replacement screens, which are wear items with a finite lifespan. Slicing software is free, but the learning curve is in supports and orientation rather than the printer, and a first failed print is normal.

Delivery, warranty and using your code

Phrozen ships internationally, so a UK order may attract import VAT and duty charged by customs on arrival, separate from the checkout price. Resin is classed as a hazardous liquid for shipping, which can restrict how and where it travels, so check availability before counting on it arriving with the machine. Warranty covers the printer for a stated period, with screens and film usually excluded as consumables. Enter your code in the discount field in the basket and confirm the total updates before paying; codes rarely stack with bundle or sale pricing.
