About Honor UK

Honor makes smartphones, tablets, laptops and wearables, and sells them direct in the UK as well as through the networks. The brand began as a sub-label of Huawei and was sold off in 2020, since when it has operated independently, which is the reason its phones ship with full Google services.

Reading the ranges

The naming is simpler than it looks once you know the pattern. Magic is the flagship line, where the best cameras and the folding models sit. The numbered ranges below it cover mid-market phones, where the trade-off is usually the camera sensor and the charging speed rather than day-to-day responsiveness.

Around the phones sit tablets, thin-and-light laptops, smartwatches and earbuds, and accessories are where the direct store tends to be most competitive against the high street.

Buying direct rather than on contract

Buying a handset outright and pairing it with a SIM-only plan usually costs less over two years than the same phone on a network contract, and it leaves you free to change provider. The trade-off is paying for the handset up front, which is what trade-in and instalment options at the checkout exist to soften.

Check the model number rather than the marketing name if you are comparing prices elsewhere. Regional variants of the same phone differ in storage, band support and sometimes the charger, and a grey-market import will not carry the UK warranty.

Using an Honor discount code

Choose the handset, enter the code in the voucher field at checkout and confirm the reduced total before you place the order. Codes appear as Honor discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes in different places, and all three work the same way.

Expect flagship phones at launch to be excluded, as they are across the whole sector. Codes here more often apply to accessories, wearables, tablets and previous-generation handsets. Trade-in credit and student offers usually run as separate mechanisms that cannot be combined with a code, so it is worth checking which single route gives the better total.
