About ITA Airways (CA)

ITA Airways promo codes and discount codes are listed above. What follows: what the airline flies, how airline fares are structured, and what an ITA Airways promo code covers.

About ITA Airways

ITA Airways is the Italian national carrier, operating from Rome Fiumicino and Milan across Italy, Europe and long-haul routes including North America.
It is the successor to the previous Italian flag carrier and is now within the Lufthansa group, which affects the frequent flyer arrangements and the connecting network more than it affects the booking process.

What they fly

Domestic Italian routes, European short-haul, and long-haul services to North America, Asia, South America and Africa, in economy, premium economy and business.
Rome is the main connecting point, and an itinerary through it is often cheaper than a direct flight on another carrier, at the cost of a connection.

Booking an airline fare

Fare families decide everything. The cheapest bracket typically excludes checked baggage, seat selection and changes, and the difference between it and the next one up is frequently less than the cost of adding a bag afterwards. Compare the fully loaded price rather than the headline.
Check the baggage allowance in the fare rather than assuming a carrier's standard. Hand baggage limits are enforced at the gate and the fee for a bag at the airport is far higher than online.
For connections, book the whole journey on one ticket where possible. A self-connected itinerary on two separate tickets offers no protection if the first flight is late, and that risk is worth more than the saving on most routes.
Check the terminal and the airport code carefully in Milan and Rome, both of which have more than one airport.

Using an ITA Airways promo code

Choose the flights, apply the code before payment and check the total. These appear as ITA Airways promo codes, discount codes and voucher codes.
Airline codes apply to the fare rather than to taxes, charges and ancillaries, so the discountable part of a ticket is smaller than the total. Offers are frequently restricted to particular routes, cabins or booking windows.
