About LOOKFANTASTIC UK

Lookfantastic is one of the largest online beauty retailers in the UK, carrying several hundred brands rather than its own line. It belongs to a group that owns a number of other beauty and wellbeing sites, which is why the same product sometimes appears at different prices across sister shops.

The model is volume and turnover. Promotions run almost continuously, which is a genuine advantage for the buyer and a complication when working out what anything actually costs.

What they stock

Skincare across the mass and premium tiers, makeup from the counter brands and the newer independents, haircare including electricals and professional lines, fragrance, bath and body, and tools.

The subscription Beauty Box is a distinct part of the business, sending a selection of products monthly. It is a different purchase from buying a product you want, and worth judging as such.

Working out the real price

This is the part that repays attention. At any moment the site may be running a sitewide percentage, a brand-specific event, a free gift with a named brand at a spend threshold, and a points balance on your account. They do not all stack.

Order matters too: a free gift usually requires a threshold measured after the discount, so a code can push the basket below the line and cost you the gift. Check the basket summary rather than the banner, and if a gift is the thing you want, work backwards from its threshold.

Using a Lookfantastic discount code

Once the basket is right, enter the code in the promotion field and read the whole order summary before paying. These are described as Lookfantastic discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Premium fragrance houses and several skincare brands restrict discounting across all their stockists, so sitewide codes routinely exclude them, and the excluded-brand list here is long. Electricals and gift sets are commonly carved out too. Codes with a minimum spend are set just above the price of one popular item, which is deliberate rather than accidental.
