About Scholastic

Scholastic discount codes and voucher codes are listed above. Here is what the publisher sells, how the packs are priced, and what a Scholastic discount code reaches.

About Scholastic

Scholastic is a children's publisher and bookseller, familiar in Britain from school book clubs and book fairs as much as from the shop. It publishes and distributes fiction, picture books, non-fiction and classroom material for children from pre-school to teenage.
The direct site sells to parents and to teachers, and the two use it differently: parents buy for a child, schools buy in quantity for a classroom or a reading scheme.

What they sell

Picture books and early readers, series fiction for the primary years, young adult titles, and a substantial non-fiction and reference list. Alongside the books are activity packs, workbooks and teaching resources tied to the curriculum.
Multi-book packs are a large part of the catalogue and are priced well below the same titles bought individually, which is usually the biggest saving available on the site.

Buying books for a reader

Match the book to the reader rather than to the school year. Reading ages on children's books are broad guidance, and a confident seven-year-old and a reluctant nine-year-old often want the same book for different reasons.
Series are the reliable route with a child who has just found reading. Once one book has worked, the rest of the series carries the habit further than a shelf of unrelated titles will, and the packs are priced for exactly that.
For a classroom, check whether a title is sold as a single copy or as a group set before ordering, because the two listings look similar and the price per book is very different.

Using a Scholastic discount code

Assemble the basket, add the code at the checkout, and check the total has changed before ordering. These appear as Scholastic discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.
Book offers here often carry a minimum spend, which the multi-book packs reach quickly. Packs and sets are sometimes excluded from a further percentage because the reduction is already in the pack price, and school and educational pricing is usually handled separately from consumer codes.
