Trip.com is a global online travel agency booking flights, hotels, trains, car hire and attractions, with regional sites serving different markets in different currencies.
The North American site is a separate storefront from the UK and European ones. Prices, availability and promotions differ, and a code issued for one region is normally rejected on another, which is the first thing to check when a code fails.

Select the booking, apply the code before payment and check the total. These appear as Trip.com promo codes, discount codes and coupon codes.
Travel codes are usually capped at a maximum value and limited to one product type — hotels but not flights, for instance — or to a minimum spend. Taxes and airline fees are not discountable, so a percentage applies to a smaller base than the headline total suggests.
