What is on the island

Four major parks sit within walking distance of one another: the Ferrari-branded park, a Warner Bros. indoor world, a SeaWorld and a waterpark, with a large indoor climbing and adventure centre alongside. Around them are the Formula One circuit, a golf course, a shopping mall, a beach and a row of hotels ranging from family-priced to the one built over the racetrack. The whole island is designed so that a visitor never needs a car, which is the point of staying on it rather than in the city.

Prices are quoted in dirhams and your card will add a conversion charge, so the sterling cost is a little above the figure on screen. Abu Dhabi is a separate emirate from Dubai and roughly an hour and a half apart by road, which matters if you are combining the two. Cancellation terms differ between the hotel and the park tickets in a package, so read which part is refundable before booking a trip that depends on a fixed date.
