Amevista Discount Codes & Vouchers

Amevista discount codes and voucher codes are listed above. Below is what the shop sells, what actually matters on a pair of sunglasses, and what an Amevista discount code covers.

About Amevista

Amevista sells sunglasses and eyewear direct to customers online. It competes on price against the optical chains and the designer licences, in a category where the gap between what a pair costs to make and what it sells for is unusually wide.

Buying eyewear this way works if you know what you are looking for. What you give up is trying frames on a face, which is the part a shop does well and a website does badly.

What to check on a lens

Two things and neither is the tint. Ultraviolet protection is the whole point of sunglasses, and it is unrelated to how dark the lens looks: a dark lens without UV filtering is worse than no sunglasses at all, because the pupil opens behind it. Look for a stated UV400 rating or an equivalent European marking.

The second is the category rating, from zero to four, which describes how much visible light is blocked. Category three suits bright sun; category four is for high mountains and is not legal for driving in most of Europe. Polarisation cuts glare from water and roads and is worth having, though it interacts oddly with some phone and dashboard screens.

Getting the fit right

Frame width across the face is the measurement that decides whether a pair looks right, and it is printed on the arm of any pair you already own in the form of three numbers.

Take those from a pair that fits and compare rather than judging from a photograph. Lens height matters too if you want coverage rather than a small frame.

Using an Amevista discount code

Pick the frames, enter the code at the checkout and check the total before the order completes. These appear as Amevista discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Offers here stack in a specific way worth reading: a category-wide reduction on sunglasses can run alongside a sitewide code, and whether the two combine is stated in the terms rather than being universal. Prescription lenses, where offered, are usually priced separately from the frame and often sit outside a code.
