About Art Discount

ARTdiscount is an online art materials retailer offering paints, brushes, paper, pads and other creative supplies. Its collection covers media such as watercolour, acrylic and oil painting, alongside equipment for setting up a workspace. The shop is useful for both replacing an everyday material and assembling supplies for a new technique. Start with the medium and project you have in mind, then choose materials that work together rather than filling a basket with unrelated colours and tools.

Paint sets versus individual colours

A paint set can be convenient, but compare its contents with the colours you actually use. Check tube or pan sizes, the product range and whether the set includes any accessories. Student and artist ranges may offer different formulations and prices, so read the manufacturer's description instead of judging only by the number of colours. If you are adding to an existing collection, individual colours may be more useful than a second set with several duplicates.

Match paper and brushes to the medium

Choose the surface to suit the medium. Paper weight, texture and sheet size all matter when comparing pads, and a sketching paper should not automatically be assumed suitable for repeated wet washes. For brushes, look at the shape, size and intended use: a broad flat brush serves a different purpose from a fine round one. A short, focused list of compatible materials can make a first project easier to manage than buying the widest possible assortment.

Workspace, quantities and project timing

If you need an easel or other larger equipment, measure the workspace and check its supported canvas size, adjustment range and storage dimensions. Read whether assembly is required and what parts are supplied. For everyday materials, compare the number of sheets, total paint volume or individual brush sizes rather than relying on a set photograph. Keep an eye on delivery costs and stock status if you are ordering for a class or a project with a deadline.

Compare equivalent art supplies

An ARTdiscount discount code should be checked against the brands and materials in your basket. Confirm any exclusions and whether reduced products qualify before calculating the saving. Compare the final total including delivery with an equivalent quantity elsewhere, and avoid adding supplies you have no current use for merely to reach a threshold. A well-matched paper, paint and brush combination is usually the more useful investment in your next piece of work.
