About Artfinder

Artfinder connects buyers with independent artists selling original artwork online. The marketplace is intended to make discovering art more approachable while helping artists reach people who enjoy their work. It is a useful place to explore a range of styles and compare individual pieces at your own pace. Begin with the subjects, colours or materials that interest you, then read the listing closely to understand the size, format and practical arrangements for the work you choose.

Read the format and edition details

An artwork image is only the beginning of the comparison. Read whether the listing describes a unique original, a limited edition or another format, and check the medium, support and dimensions. If an edition is involved, look for the edition details supplied by the artist. Additional photographs can show texture or the work in a room, but a styled room image may not communicate scale accurately. Use the stated measurements when planning where the piece will go.

Explore the artist behind the work

Artist profiles can make the browsing experience more useful. Look at other works, the artist's description of their practice and any information about the techniques they use. You may find that a different piece better suits your space or budget. If you want a particular size or a commission, ask about the possibilities and conditions before buying. A commission should be understood as its own arrangement, with a clear specification, timing and any applicable return terms.

Shipping, framing and installation

Because pieces can come from different artists and countries, check shipping for the exact work rather than assuming one delivery arrangement across the marketplace. Establish whether it is framed, mounted or ready to hang, and allow for any framing or installation cost you will need afterwards. Read the current buyer information about returns and damaged deliveries. Keep the original packaging until you have inspected the artwork and decided where it will be displayed.

Verify artwork eligibility for an offer

Before using an Artfinder discount code, check whether the selected artist or artwork is eligible and whether there is a minimum spend. Compare the revised total with shipping and any other relevant charges included. Do not assume that a marketplace promotion changes every artist's price or applies to a commission. A thoughtful choice is a piece you enjoy and understand, with the medium, dimensions and delivery arrangements checked before you complete the order.
