About Aurzen

Aurzen builds portable projectors and sells them direct, with a line-up that runs from a tri-fold model thin enough to travel to brighter units meant to serve as the main screen in a room.

The projectors

Several families sit side by side. The ZIP folds into three and carries its own battery, which is the one for a tent, a hotel room or a garden wall. The BOOM models add Google TV and heavier speakers. The EAZZE range is the brighter end, some running Google TV and some Roku, and it is where the units capable of filling a wall in a half-lit room live. Streaming is built in on most of them, so apps run on the projector rather than needing a stick, though a subscription is still your own affair.

Reading the specification honestly

Brightness is the figure that decides whether you enjoy the thing, and it is quoted here in ANSI lumens, which is the measurement worth trusting. A few hundred ANSI lumens makes a fine picture in a dark room and a washed-out grey one with the curtains open, so match the number to when you will actually watch rather than to the largest screen size printed on the box. Battery models trade brightness for portability by design. Throw distance matters too: a small room may not let you sit far enough back for the picture size you have in mind.

Where the code is applied

Choose the projector, open the basket, and put the code into the discount field before you reach the payment screen, then check the total has actually moved. Codes here are commonly issued against one named model, so a code that will not take is usually written for a different projector rather than expired. Bundles that already show a reduced price will not normally accept a further code on top.

Buying from a direct brand

Ordering from the manufacturer rather than a retailer has a trade-off worth knowing. Prices are keener and new models appear first, but a fault is handled by the brand's support rather than by a shop you can return to, so keep the order confirmation and check the warranty terms before buying. Prices are quoted in dollars, and a British order can attract import charges on delivery, which belong in the comparison. The sharpest discounting follows a launch: once a new model is announced, the outgoing one drops hardest.
