About Bakerdays
Bakerdays bakes personalised cakes at its own site in Nottingham and posts them in a box shallow enough to go through a letterbox, and a Bakerdays discount code is usually spent on somebody else's birthday. The letterbox format is a physical specification rather than a marketing line, and it fixes what ruins most surprise deliveries.
Nobody needs to be at home
Because the box fits a standard letterplate, no signature is required. The cake arrives while the recipient is at work, out for the day, or in an office where a courier would leave a card and take the parcel away. For a surprise, that one property matters more than anything else.
Order earlier than the cut-off suggests
Weekday orders placed by early afternoon go out for next-day courier delivery, with weekend options and European delivery taking a couple of days. For a birthday do not rely on the cut-off: order two working days ahead. Friday deserves care, since the deadline governs a Saturday arrival rather than a Monday.
Personalised food cannot come back
A cake carrying a name, a message or an uploaded photograph is made to your instruction, and it is perishable food. Either alone would put it outside the ordinary right to change your mind online; together they settle it. Read the preview before paying, because a spelling you typed is not a fault.
The photograph decides the result
An edible image is printed, so every flaw in the file is reproduced and enlarged. A dark or compressed phone picture becomes a dark, soft image in icing at a size far bigger than it appeared on screen. Use the original camera file rather than one forwarded through a messaging app, and choose a clear single subject over a busy group shot.
Free-from cakes are a separate range
Gluten-free, wheat-free and dairy-free cakes exist, but as their own range rather than a tick box on a standard cake. If it is for somebody with a diagnosed allergy rather than a preference, read the allergen detail on that product and ask the bakery how it is handled, since a free-from recipe and a dedicated production line are two different assurances.
Using a Bakerdays discount code
Enter the code before payment and check the total with delivery included, since postage normally sits outside an offer and a weekend or timed service costs more. Gift bundles priced as a set rarely take more off.
