About Bunches.co.uk
A family-run British flower company that grows and packs at its own site rather than passing orders to a network of local florists. Orders are dispatched direct, which is why the range and the presentation stay the same wherever in the country the flowers land.
The proposition is value and reliability rather than luxury florist work, and the business is built around postal delivery.
What they send
Bouquets and posies, plants, flower subscriptions, and add-ons such as chocolates, wine, balloons and vases.
Subscriptions are the distinctive part of the range: flowers sent weekly, fortnightly or monthly for a fixed period, which works better as a gift for someone who lives alone than a single large bouquet does.
Choosing a subscription over a one-off
A single bouquet peaks on day three and is gone in a fortnight. A subscription arriving every few weeks keeps giving, and for a bereavement or a long illness it is often the kinder choice.
Check the commitment before buying. A prepaid fixed-term subscription ends when it ends; a rolling one renews, and the renewal is the thing people forget.
Sending to the right place
Hospitals are the common mistake. Many NHS wards do not accept flowers at all, for infection-control reasons, so send to the home or ask the ward first.
Workplaces work well for postal flowers because someone is there to receive them, but check the delivery day against the recipient's working pattern.
Write the card message in the order, not in the box. A message typed into the wrong field is the single most common complaint in this industry, and it cannot be fixed after dispatch.
Timing and the peaks
Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas are when the whole industry is stretched. Order well ahead for those dates and choose a delivery day before the peak rather than on it, since a bouquet arriving two days early is better than one arriving a day late.
Using a Bunches.co.uk discount code
Apply the code to the whole order including any gift extras, then check whether the peak dates are excluded, as they usually are.
