About Discount Golf Store

Discount Golf Store is a British golf retailer built around clearing last season's equipment, and the whole site runs on the gap between recommended price and what it actually charges.

What is sold

Hardware leads: drivers, iron sets, wedges, putters and full package sets from Ping, TaylorMade, Titleist, Callaway and the rest, alongside electric and push trolleys from Powakaddy and others, bags, balls and rangefinders. Clothing and footwear run beside it, with FootJoy, Under Armour and the usual course brands, and there is a permanent sale section that is really the point of the shop rather than a corner of it.

Where the savings come from

Understanding this makes the prices make sense. Club manufacturers release a new flagship on a roughly annual cycle, and the model it replaces drops sharply the moment the new one is announced, even though the club itself has not changed. A two-year-old driver from a major brand plays very close to this year's for most amateurs, and that is where the deepest reductions here sit. The trade-off is choice: shaft options and left-handed versions run out first on outgoing stock, so the exact specification you want may not survive the discount.

Putting the code in

Add the clubs or clothing, open the basket, and enter the code in the promotional field before the payment page, checking the total moves before you continue. Because so much of the range is already reduced, codes here commonly exclude sale stock, so one that refuses on a clearance driver is restricted rather than expired. One code per order. The site also advertises a price match, which is worth using on a club listed cheaper elsewhere, and it is a separate route to a lower price rather than something a code stacks with.

Fitting, delivery and paying

The one thing a discount cannot fix is a club that does not suit you. Shaft flex, lie angle and length matter more to a score than the badge on the sole, and a fitted set at full price will usually beat an unfitted bargain. If you know your specification, buying online is straightforward; if you do not, a fitting session first is money better spent than a saving. Free delivery applies above a stated order value, payment can be split into three interest-free instalments, and orders earn points towards later purchases.
