About Flying Flowers

Flying Flowers has been sending flowers by post since long before doing so became a category. The model is a bouquet packed in bud and delivered by mail rather than hand-delivered in water by a florist.

That difference is the whole proposition. Nobody needs to be home, the price is far below a florist's, and the flowers open over the following days in the recipient's own vase. What you give up is the arranged, ready-to-display bouquet.

What they send

Seasonal bouquets across the year, with a genuine emphasis on British-grown stems in the seasons when British flowers are available. Occasion ranges cover birthdays, thank-yous, new babies, sympathy and the seasonal peaks.

Flower subscriptions run alongside the one-off bouquets, sending a delivery at a chosen interval, which is bought as much for the buyer's own home as for a gift.

Getting a postal bouquet right

Two practical points. Flowers arrive in bud and look unimpressive on day one, which surprises recipients who were expecting a florist's arrangement. Warn them, or accept it, because they open properly within a couple of days.

Second, timing. These travel by post, so the send date and the postal service chosen decide the arrival, and a day of margin is worth building in. Peak dates, Valentine's and Mother's Day above all, are the periods when both the postal network and the growers are stretched hardest.

Using a Flying Flowers discount code

Choose the bouquet and the delivery date, apply the code at the checkout and check the total before confirming. These appear as Flying Flowers discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Postage on flower delivery is usually charged apart from the bouquet and often falls outside a percentage offer, so read which figure a code reduces. Subscriptions carry their own introductory pricing, normally reducing the first delivery rather than the ongoing rate, and that will not stack with a separate code. The busiest dates in the flower calendar are routinely excluded altogether.
