About Hawkins Bazaar

Hawkins Bazaar sells novelty gifts, puzzles, science kits, retro toys and stocking fillers, and a Hawkins Bazaar discount code is most often spent on a basket of small things rather than one big present, which is exactly what the shop is built for. The brand went through administration in 2019 and was acquired by Menkind, which has run it since, so the shops and the website sit inside that group rather than operating alone.

Age marking is a safety instruction

Anything marked as not suitable for children under three carries that warning because of small parts and a choking risk, not because the toy is too difficult. Science and chemistry sets carry a stated minimum age for a reason as well, usually because they contain glass, sharp tools or chemicals that need adult supervision. Read the age line before the description when you are buying for a specific child.

Novelty gifts and the batteries nobody mentions

A large share of gadget gifts need batteries, and the listing says whether they are included. Button cells in particular are a serious hazard if swallowed, so anything containing them should be kept away from small children and the compartment checked for a screw rather than a click. Buy the batteries with the gift if you want it to work on the day.

Puzzles and games: check the piece count and the players

A jigsaw's piece count tells you the evening it will take; the finished dimensions tell you whether you have a table for it. Board and card games list a player range and a playing time, and a game that needs four people is a disappointment for a household of two. Both figures are on the product page.

Ordering for a date

Small-gift retailers get very busy in the run-up to Christmas, and standard delivery slows exactly when it matters. Order ahead of the published cut-off rather than on it, and if a gift is for a fixed date, pay for the tracked service rather than hoping.

Using a Hawkins Bazaar discount code

Apply the code in the basket and confirm the total changes before paying. Codes generally carry a minimum spend, exclude clearance lines and gift cards, and one applies per order. Because individual items are inexpensive, the free delivery threshold is often worth more than the code, so check both against the same basket.
