What they make

Four families of product, all made to order from a design you supply. Enamel pins come in soft and hard enamel, die-struck and printed finishes. Patches are embroidered, woven or moulded in PVC, with backings from sew-on to iron-on, Velcro and adhesive. Challenge coins — the collectable metal discs used by clubs, military units, charities and companies — are struck and finished in several plating options. Medals and lanyards round it out, alongside keyrings and promotional pieces. Because there is no minimum, a single commemorative coin is as valid an order as five hundred staff pins.

Getting the artwork right

This is where the result is decided. Send vector artwork if you have it — an AI, EPS, PDF or SVG file scales cleanly to any size, where a small JPEG from a website does not. Simplify the design: fine lines, tiny lettering and subtle gradients survive on a screen and disappear on a thirty-millimetre pin, and metal separations need a visible width to hold enamel. Specify Pantone colours rather than describing them, since a screen shows colour differently from every other screen. Decide the size in millimetres before anything else, because everything else follows from it.

Approve the proof carefully

You will be sent a digital proof and, on larger orders, sometimes a physical sample. Read it as a contract rather than a formality: check spelling, dates, the direction of any logo, the plating colour and the backing type, because once tooling is cut and production runs, the whole batch carries whatever you approved. Ask about the mould or setup charge and whether it is one-off or repeated on a reorder — that single question often decides which supplier is cheaper for a second run.

Rights, delivery and using your code

Only send artwork you have the right to reproduce. A club crest, a sports badge, a cartoon character or a company logo belongs to somebody, and a manufacturer will make what you supply on the basis that you have permission. Production plus international shipping takes weeks rather than days, and rush services cost more, so work backwards from the event date and add slack; import VAT and duty are charged separately on arrival in the UK. Enter your code at checkout and check the revised total before paying, and confirm whether it applies to the setup charge or only to the units.
