About Mountain Warehouse - UK

Mountain Warehouse sells outdoor clothing and equipment, with much of its range designed in-house. Its UK website also offers third-party brands through Marketplace sellers.

The chain has a large physical presence across the UK alongside the website, which is genuinely useful when you want to try walking boots on before committing to them.

What they sell

Walking and hiking is the core: boots and shoes, waterproof jackets, fleeces, base layers, walking trousers and rucksacks. Around that sit camping equipment, ski and snowboard wear, swimwear, and a substantial children's range that is the reason many families shop there in the first place.

Reading the own-brand labels

Within Mountain Warehouse's own range, its fabric and collection labels help distinguish product specifications. IsoDry marks the waterproof and breathable fabrics, IsoTherm the insulation, and the Extreme range sits at the top of the specification for harsher conditions.

Match the label to the use rather than to the price. An entry-level waterproof is fine for a dog walk in drizzle and will disappoint on a hill in sustained rain, and the gap between the tiers is real even though all of them sit below premium-brand pricing.

Using a Mountain Warehouse discount code

Get the kit into the basket, apply the code in the promotion field and check the revised total before you order. Codes appear as discount codes, promo codes and voucher codes in different places; all three mean the same thing here.

Two things are worth knowing. Mountain Warehouse runs deep seasonal sales of its own, and codes usually cannot be stacked on top of already-reduced stock, so the sale price and the code price are alternatives rather than a combination. And because the retailer has shops as well as a website, some codes are online-only, which the terms will state.
