About NOMO

NOMO makes chocolate for people who normally have to put the bar back on the shelf — free from milk, egg, gluten and nuts, and vegan — and a discount code helps, because free-from chocolate costs more than the ordinary kind.

What they make

The range is built around bars rather than boxes: creamy, caramel, cookie dough, salted popcorn, fruit and crunch, and filled bars where the centre is the point. They are sold in multipacks of twelve or twenty-four, which is how the price per bar comes down, plus a mixed box small enough to post as a gift. Seasonal shapes appear at Easter and Christmas, and the brand sits under a larger British confectionery company, which is why the bars turn up in supermarkets too.

What "free from" covers here — and what it does not

Read the pack, not the reputation. NOMO is made without dairy, egg, gluten and nuts, and is suitable for vegans; the flavour and texture come from rice-based ingredients rather than milk. That combination is unusual and is the whole reason the brand exists. But free-from is not the same as allergen-free by law: for a severe allergy what matters is the manufacturing statement on the pack, "may contain" wording included, which differs between lines and changes between runs. Anyone with anaphylaxis should check the pack in front of them every time rather than relying on a website description, and someone with coeliac disease should look for the certified gluten-free mark specifically.

Chocolate without dairy, honestly

Dairy-free chocolate divides people, and it is worth knowing why. Milk chocolate gets its softness from milk solids; take them out and something has to do that job, so most alternatives use rice, oat or coconut. The result is a different bar rather than an imitation of the one you remember — many prefer it, some do not, and a mixed box costs less than finding out across six multipacks. It is still confectionery: sugar and fat content sit where you would expect, so free-from does not mean it is a health food.

Delivery, storage and using your code

Free UK delivery applies over a spend threshold, so group these orders into one. Chocolate travels badly in warm weather — order early in the week, and in summer expect some bloom, the harmless pale film that appears when chocolate warms and re-sets. Store it cool, dry and away from strong smells, not in the fridge. A student and young-person discount is offered separately, and a first-order sign-up offer usually cannot be combined with another code, so compare the two before deciding which to apply at checkout.
