About Sportdirect.ca

Sportdirect.ca is a Quebec sports equipment supplier that sells to individuals and to institutions — schools, daycares, arenas, parks and municipalities — from the same catalogue.

What it carries

The range spans more than thirty sports: baseball and softball, basketball, hockey, soccer, gymnastics, swimming, martial arts, badminton, skiing and much else, with brands including Yonex, Wilson, Spalding, Rawlings and Mizuno. Alongside the playing equipment sits the infrastructure a facility needs — nets and netting, gym mats, bleachers, trampolines and storage — plus apparel. Custom quotes are available for bulk and institutional orders.

Buying for a club rather than a person

That institutional half changes how the site is best used. If you are equipping a team or a hall, ask for a quote rather than filling a basket: quantity pricing on balls, bibs, mats and nets is usually better than the listed price, and a quote gives you a document a committee or a school office can approve. Think about replacement cycles too — balls and bibs are consumables, nets and mats are capital, and budgeting them the same way is how clubs end up with good goals and no working balls.

Getting the right size and grade

Sizing in sport equipment is specific and rarely obvious. Balls come in age-graded sizes, and a size five football handed to eight-year-olds is both harder to play with and harder on growing joints. Racket weight, grip size and string tension all change how a racket plays, and buying the professional model does not help a beginner. Protective equipment must fit properly to protect anything, and league rules often specify approved standards, so check the governing body's requirement before ordering a set. This is a Canadian retailer, so orders to the UK will attract import VAT and possibly duty on delivery.

Using a Sportdirect discount code

Add the equipment, put the code into the discount box at checkout, and confirm the total before placing the order.
