Sunglass Hut Discount Code UK

Sunglass Hut sells sunglasses from the major eyewear houses through shops and online, and a Sunglass Hut UK discount code is spent in a market where the same frame is sold in a lot of places and not all of them are the real thing. Buying from an authorised retailer is most of what you are paying for, and the rest comes down to whether a frame fits your face.

Three numbers decide whether a frame fits

Printed on the inside of the arm are the lens width, the bridge width and the temple length in millimetres, usually as three figures separated by a square and a dash. Those numbers, not the model name, tell you whether a frame will sit right: lens width for how wide the face is, bridge for the gap across the nose, temple for the reach to the ear. If you own a pair that fits, read its numbers and use them as the benchmark.

Authorised stock, warranty and the fakes

An authorised retailer sells stock supplied by the brand, which is what makes the manufacturer's guarantee valid and what guarantees the lenses are the ones the maker specified. Counterfeit designer sunglasses are common and the giveaway is rarely the frame: it is the lens, which may filter far less ultraviolet than the sticker claims. Keep the case, the cloth and the paperwork, since a warranty claim asks for them.

Lens coatings and what each one is for

A mirror coating cuts brightness and looks opaque from outside. A gradient lens is darker at the top, which suits driving because the lower half stays clear for the dashboard. Photochromic lenses darken in ultraviolet light and therefore change less behind a car windscreen, which blocks much of it. None of these is a substitute for the protection rating itself.

Prescription lenses in a designer frame

Many frames can be glazed to prescription, and the wraparound shapes are the ones that often cannot, because a strong prescription cannot be ground into a steeply curved lens without distortion. Ask before falling for a frame, and have your pupillary distance to hand.

Using a Sunglass Hut discount code

The code goes in before payment; check the total, then check the delivery option. Premium houses that control their own pricing are routinely carved out of offers, as are lines already reduced, and in-store terms differ from online ones.
