About Wallis UK

Wallis spent decades on the British high street and now trades online only, as part of Debenhams Group alongside Debenhams itself, Burton, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse and several other names bought out of the same collapse.

What survived the change is the positioning. Wallis has always dressed a slightly older customer than the fast-fashion chains, with more tailoring, more structure and less turnover, and the online range has kept that.

Petite, and why it matters here

The petite range is the reason a great many customers came to this label rather than to a rival. It is not the main line shortened by an inch: the shoulder, the sleeve, the rise and the waist placement are all drafted for a shorter frame.

Anyone who has bought a jacket that fits the body but hangs wrong at the shoulder will understand the difference. If you are under about five foot four, start in that range rather than the standard one.

What it stocks

Tailoring and workwear, dresses for occasions and for the office, blouses and knitwear, coats and jackets, trousers and jeans, with shoes and accessories alongside.

Occasion dressing is a genuine strength, particularly the mother-of-the-bride and wedding-guest end where the high street's usual offer is thin.

Using a Wallis discount code

Assemble the basket, enter the code at the checkout stage and confirm the amount due before the payment goes through. These are described as Wallis discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Two conditions are worth expecting. The group runs deep clearance events, and stock already reduced in one is normally outside a sitewide percentage, so the two prices need comparing rather than adding. And a code issued for another Debenhams Group label will not work here, which is the usual reason a valid-looking code is rejected. Because everything arrives by post, read the returns terms before ordering two sizes of a tailored piece.
