Getting a print that looks like the photo

Resolution decides everything. A picture that looks sharp on a phone screen can print soft at canvas size, because the screen shows it at a fraction of the print dimensions. Upload the original file rather than a copy pulled from a social media app or a messaging thread, both of which recompress images heavily. The editor usually flags a low-resolution image with a warning — believe it rather than overriding it. Watch the crop: templates trim to their own aspect ratio, and the standard casualty is the top of someone's head. Colours print slightly darker than they appear on a bright screen.
