About Cass Art

Cass Art sells art materials, with categories that include paints, brushes, drawing supplies, canvas and painting paper. Its range brings different brands together with a Cass Art collection, allowing beginners and experienced artists to compare useful supplies. Start with the medium and project you intend to work on, then choose the materials needed rather than buying a large set simply because it contains more pieces.

Choosing materials for your medium

Watercolour, oil and other painting media have different material requirements. Read the description of the paint and the intended use of its supporting surface. Compare tube or pan quantities and the selected colours rather than the set size alone. If you are experimenting with a new medium, a focused selection of useful colours can be more practical than several similar shades you rarely use.

Comparing paints, papers and surfaces

Paper specifications help distinguish products that appear similar in a photograph. Check dimensions, weight, surface and stated suitability for your intended technique. A sketchbook and painting paper can serve different purposes, while a prepared canvas has its own specifications. Review the individual product information rather than assuming that every artist's surface in one category works equally well with every medium.

Building a useful set of tools

Brushes and other tools should match the materials and marks you want to make. Compare the shape, size and care information, and establish what a kit includes. Read the relevant product instructions for cleaning and use instead of treating every brush or paint as interchangeable. Consider storage space and how the supplies will be transported if you plan to take them to classes or work outside the home.

Checking quantities and promotional terms

A Cass Art discount code may apply to selected brands or basket conditions, so check eligibility after preparing a useful materials list. Compare the delivered cost per quantity where helpful and review any offer exclusions. Bundles provide value when their contents suit the project, not just when their reduction looks large. Keep the product references so paper sizes, colours and other supplies can be matched for a later order.
