About London Zoo

London Zoo in Regent's Park is run by the Zoological Society of London, a conservation charity that also runs Whipsnade in Bedfordshire. Ticket income funds the conservation and science work rather than a shareholder, which is why the pricing is structured the way it is.
The two sites are separate visits with separate tickets. Whipsnade is far larger and is driven around in parts; London is a compact city zoo done on foot in half a day.

What a ticket includes

General admission covers the whole site and the great majority of the exhibits, including the walkthroughs. Some experiences — keeper-led sessions, animal encounters, sleepovers in the lodges — are booked and paid for separately.

The site is compact but hilly in places and largely outdoors, so weather governs the day more than the timetable does. Feeding times and talks are published each morning and are worth planning around, since they are when most animals are active and visible.
