About World Duty Free

World Duty Free discount codes and voucher codes are listed above. Underneath is how airport shopping actually works now, what is genuinely cheaper, and what a World Duty Free discount code covers.

About World Duty Free

World Duty Free operates the shops in most large UK airports. The website is not primarily a delivery service: it is a reserve and collect system, where you order before travelling and pick the goods up at the airport on your way through.

Reserving in advance is where the online discounts live, and it also protects you from the shop being out of the size you wanted at six in the morning.

What is sold

Fragrance and cosmetics make up the largest part, followed by spirits, wine and champagne, tobacco where permitted, confectionery, and souvenirs and gifts.

Sunglasses, watches and small luxury goods appear at the larger airports. Ranges vary by terminal, which is why the site asks which airport you are flying from before showing you anything.

What is actually cheaper

Since the rules changed, the answer depends on where you are flying. Duty-free prices on spirits and tobacco apply to non-EU destinations rather than to everything, and on other categories the saving is against the high street rather than automatic.

Allowances are the other half. There are limits on what you can bring back and they differ by destination, and exceeding them means paying at the border rather than saving at the gate. Check the allowance for your route before buying, and compare fragrance against a discount retailer at home rather than assuming the airport is cheaper.

Using a World Duty Free discount code

Choose the airport and the flight, add the items, apply the code before confirming the reservation and check the total. These appear as World Duty Free discount codes, voucher codes and promo codes.

Offers here are usually tied to reserving online ahead of travel rather than to buying in the shop, which is the behaviour the company is trying to encourage. Minimum spend thresholds are common, and tobacco and certain spirits are excluded from promotions by law rather than by policy. Ranges and prices differ by terminal, so a code valid at one airport may not apply at another.
